APPROVE is an equipment provision scheme that addresses the needs of children, families, therapists, professionals and funders in an easy, efficient and flexible way.

For over 28 years Jenx Limited has been at the forefront of innovation in this area. APPROVE has been developed to fulfil the requirements of a growing and ever-changing market that must be able to justify all spending.

 

What does APPROVE offer to funders?

  • Product is assessed, prescribed, delivered, set up and handed over to the user in one visit
  • Training for therapist and users
  • An annual product inspection
  • Change of provision if the needs of your child should change

 

What does APPROVE offer to families and carers?

  • One visit to agree which product their child needs
  • Product is specified, set up and left with the family on the same day - no waiting for funding approval or manufacturer's delivery time
  • Training from the manufacturer at the time of provision
  • Product is set up for the child
  • Product will always be safe and complete as it comes directly from the manufacturer

 

What does APPROVE offer to the child?

  • Same day assessment, prescription and delivery of product
  • Once a decision is made, the product is left on that day, ready to use
  • Only the most suitable product will be provided, and will be replaced if it becomes unsuitable - the child will never simply have to ‘make do' if their needs change
  • Product supplied will be clean and safe

 

What does APPROVE offer to the environment?

  • Products can be re-used, saving on natural resources needed for manufacture
  • Products will be decontaminated in a controlled environment
  • Products can be designed for ease of refurbishment and recycling, thus reducing the use of natural resources

How Do I Sign Up?

APPROVE can be ordered in two main ways:

  • Funder agreed contract
  • Individual child order

A ‘funder agreed contract’ may be for any number of APPROVE provisions within a service, and the contract details how many children will be covered by the scheme.

Here the Funder decides how many children the scheme will cover and agrees with the therapists which children will be covered.

An ‘individual child order’ is an order placed by a funding body for an individual child.

FAQ

What if a child moves to a different area during the period of the contract?

The provision is simply transferred to another child for the remainder of the contract.

 

Won't I be paying a lot more if I use APPROVE for one product over a number of years?

No. APPROVE reduces so many other costs that are currently hidden. Reduced therapist time and visits, no storage, decontamination or inspection costs to cover. A child who might need three different products in a given three year period will now have each as they need it without the need to buy, store or refurbish any of them. You only pay for provision and everything is done within that payment.

 

Will therapists be able to specify exactly which products and accessories they want?

Yes. Therapists will be able to choose from the entire Jenx range and selected products from the Rifton range to suit their child's needs.

 

What if I prescribe a seating system at first but wish to change to standing mid-term?

No problem. You simply call Jenx and arrange a re-assessment visit.

 

How many re-assessments are included in the price?

There is no definitive number but as it is unlikely that your child's needs will change too frequently, we expect just one or two re-assessments, at most, would be necessary within a year.

 

What if there isn't a product in the Jenx or Rifton range that suits my child at this time?

We do not see this as likely but, if this were to arise, we would not invoice the funder for this provision.

 

How long is the period covered by an APPROVE contract?

Contracts are a minimum of one year. They can also be for two or three years.

 

Is there a discount for large orders?

There is a discount scheme and since this works in different ways in different situations we advise you to contact our Sales Support Team on 0114 285 3376 for details of discounts that may apply to you.

 

I have lots of old products in storage. Will Jenx Limited take those from me?

Jenx will take back old Jenx and Rifton products and in some cases give a voucher of £50 towards a new Jenx product or an APPROVE contract. Only one voucher can be used for any one product or APPROVE contract.

 

Some of these products are not Jenx or Rifton products. Will Jenx take these?

In some instances, yes. There would not be a voucher against products from other manufacturers. Jenx is delighted to offer this innovative scheme - we hope you will try it out and feel the benefits for yourself.
