The Annual COTSS-Children Young People and Families 2011 Conference was held at the University of West England in Bristol. A lively programme was compiled around the Title: Skills for the Future.
The programme for both days centred around parallel sessions providing information on a wide range of practical subjects. Therapists, manufacturers and suppliers all brought sessions to life covering topics centred around Service, products, regulation, promotion, evidence base and personal experience. There really was something for everyone.
Catherine Jenkins from Jenx Limited took part in Thursday’s Equipment Champions session and presented a separate talk covering the MHRA Guidelines for Management of Medical Devices. Unfortunately, a further session concerning issues surrounding procurement did not go ahead.
A number of posters were available on Thursday afternoon including:

“Rapid Improvement Event” by Hannah Jeffery of Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Trust.
