Humphrey

Humphrey is a prone/upright stander with a wide range of adjustments making him suitable for children with almost any level of ability in standing.

Humphrey can be horizontal to allow children to be transferred to him in a lying position or hoisted on for ease.

A simple gas spring mechanism operated from a foot brake alters the angle of Humphrey.

Humphrey offers a continuous range of standing positions from horizontal through prone to upright and also offers a number of very special features.

Therapeutic Features and benefits

- Humphrey has a continuous, large range of positions so children with widely different abilities can use him

- Humphrey's angle is adjusted on a simple gas spring mechanism so his position can be changed even when he is being used. No need to take your child out to change position. The amount of weightbearing your child achieves can easily be altered within the standing session.

- Humphrey can be adjusted to suit children of very different heights and proportions so he is suitable for a growing child over a number of years or for a number of children in a therapy or class group.

- Leg length and angle can be adjusted separately for each leg so differences in leg length or hip position pose no problem

- Abduction of each leg individually is possible and the full range allows for a large degree of abduction whilst maintaining spinal position, hip position and good foot posture.

- Humphrey comes on locking swivel castors.

- Humphrey can be taken to pieces for ease of storage or transport.

- An adjustable tray offers both bowl or solid surface and a wide range of angles so it can be flat or raised regardless of the overall body position. This gives endless possibilities for social, leisure, educational or therapeutic activities.

- An adjustable upper chest support can be used to encourage increased head control or can be removed for children with adequate head control.
